  • The 33-year-old rapper opened Marathon Clothing in June 2017 as a "smartstore" where customers use an app to  gain access to exclusive content and products.

  • After an underground career  which included multiple mixtapes and radio hits, Hussle's debut studio album, "Victory Lap" was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
  • "In our culture, there's a narrative that says, 'Follow the athletes, follow the entertainers,'" he told the Los Angeles Times last year. "And that's cool, but there should be something that says, 'Follow Elon Musk, follow [Mark] Zuckerberg.'
  • Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the suspect waked up to Hussle after he took a photo with a child, TMZ reports. Video showing what appears to be first responders attempting to provide aid to the shooting victims quickly circulated on Instagram.

Hussle leaves behind his long-time girlfriend actress Lauren London and a 2½-year-old child, as well as kids from a previous relationship.
